AUSTIN, TX — The 2024 UIL Track & Field State Championships take place this weekend, May 2-4. Several student-athletes from around the Concho Valley performed well enough at Regionals to qualify for the state meet at Mike A. Myers Track & Soccer Stadium in Austin.

Day 1, on Thursday, May 2, begins the state championships with 3A and 4A qualifiers. The only athletes from the Concho Valley to compete on Thursday will be the Wall Hawks, the Lady Hawks' Lexi Slaughter, and finally the Ballinger Lady Bearcats Matilda Galvan.
On Friday, May 3, we will see all of our 2A schools compete, including Miles, Reagan County, Eldorado, Sonora, Junction, Mason, Ozona, and Sterling City.
Finally on Saturday, May 4, the 1A schools will receive their turn to shine. Look out for athletes from Bronte, Robert Lee, Paint Rock, and Menard.
