FRISCO— The Dallas Cowboys have brought in their 30 draft eligible players for official visits.
Since the Cowboys have chosen to not be active in free agency and turned their attention to the 2024 NFL Draft. One thing the Cowboys do is give a look into who and what position they are interested in drafting.
The players that the Cowboys have brought in are:
RUNNING BACK
- Trey Benson- Florida State
- Jonathan Brooks- Texas
- Braelon Allen- Wisconsin
- Bucky Irving- Oregon
- Rasheen Ali- Marshall
- Jase McClellan- Alabama
- Emani Bailey- TCU
WIDE RECEIVER

OFFENSIVE LINEMAN
- Taliese Fuaga- Oregon State

LINEBACKER

DEFENSIVE TACKLE

DEFENSIVE END

Dallas is also allowed visits for their Dallas Day interviews, which are players who played in the area surrounding Dallas. Those players include:
Defensive End Byron Vaughn, Baylor
Safety Jeremiah Lewis, Duke
Offensive Lineman Jack Freeman
So, what does this list of players say about the Cowboy’s plans? They let left tackle Tyron Smith and center Tyler Biadasz go so they could, and should, target an offensive lineman early. Which, along with Smith the Cowboys have drafted Travis Frederick, Zack Martin, and Tyler Smith in the first and hit big with each of those picks.
Also, Tony Pollard will not be wearing a star on his helmet, so Benson and Brooks make a ton of sense for the Cowboys. Benson ran for 1,201 yards on 200 carries in 26 games throughout his college career. He also ran a 4.39 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine.
Brooks rushed for 1,479 yards on 238 carries and 16 touchdowns at Texas.
Another position the Cowboys desperately need is linebacker. All-World defensive player Micah Parsons is basically a defensive end instead of playing wherever he would be the most impactful and Leighton Vander Esch is no longer a Cowboy, so linebacker is incredibly thin. Cooper and Wilson make a ton of sense for the Cowboys.
The Dallas Cowboys are picking 24th, 56th, and 87th overall in the first three rounds of the 2024 NFL Draft which is being held from April 25 through April 27.
