Belles Softball Amelia Hatthorn Named LSC Pitcher of the Week

RICHARDSON, TX — The Lone Star Conference announced on Monday, April 15, that Angelo State’s Amelia Hatthorn was named the LSC Pitcher of the Week for her performance in the Belles’ two LSC series a week ago.

The No. 21 Angelo State Rambelles won two Lone Star Conference series last week. The Belles took two out of three from Texas A&M International in ASU’s final home stand early in the week before traveling to Lubbock over the weekend. In Lubbock, Angelo State again won two out of three games to win the series on the road.

Amelia Hatthorn won LSC honors thanks to her solid work in her outings against the Lady Dust Devils and Lady Chaps. The Angelo State Junior threw three shutout innings across two appearances against A&M International. Her efforts, combined with Belles’ Ace Cheyenne Floyd, secured a shutout, 8-0, win in the series finale.

The Rambelles return to action on the road for their final regular season series against West Texas A&M in Canyon this weekend. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Friday. This will be a three-game series with a doubleheader on Saturday.
