Central 'Cats and Lady Cats Head to the Playoffs

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — The San Angelo Central Bobcats and Lady Cats Soccer teams are geared up and ready for playoff season. The Bi-district matchups are set, and both Central teams will head to Pecos on Tuesday, March 26, for their first-round matchups.

The Lady Cats enter their Bi-District playoff matchup with El Paso Americas after finishing this season with a 13-3-3 overall record (7-3 in district). That finish was good enough for second place in District 2-6A behind a talented Frenship Lady Tigers team. El Paso Americas sports a 16-6-1 record this season and finished 3rd overall in their district.

The Bobcats finished with a 10-5-5 overall record (5-2-3 District) and 2nd overall in District 2-6A this season. With that finish, the 'Cats claim the No. 2 seed headed into the playoffs where they will face off with El Paso Montwood in Round 1. Montwood enters as the 3rd seed in their district and finished this season with a 16-8 overall record.
