SAN ANGELO, TX — It’s playoff time for Texas High School Basketball, and the ladies began their respective state title runs on Monday, February 12. Several Concho Valley teams were in action here in San Angelo.

Irion County 67 Paint Rock 15
The Lady Hornets dominated the Bi-District round at the Junell Center at Angelo State on Monday night. Irion County led from start to finish to advance to the next round. Paint Rock played hard throughout but could not match last year’s state runner-up.
Irion County’s Baylee Rainey led the Lady Hornets with 18 points, followed by her sister, Melanie Rainey, with 12 points. Irion County advances to the Area Round against Buena Vista on Friday, February 16.
Garden City 40 Eden 38
The late game at Angelo State featured a playoff classic between the Lady Bearkats and Lady Bulldogs. After each team traded points and leads throughout the contest, Garden City came out on top—the Lady Bearkats advanced to the Area round against Balmorhea.

Miles 52 Eldorado 38
Despite an excellent first half from Eldorado, a strong 3rd quarter from the Lady Bulldogs proved too much for the Lady Eagles. Miles took over in the 2nd half to secure a Bi-District Championship. Kendyl Riddle led the Lady Bulldogs with 24 points.
Miles advances to the Area Round this weekend to play Sundown.
Ozona 60 Roscoe 44
The Lady Lions controlled this game from start to finish at Lake View High School on Monday night. Ozona beat Roscoe and advanced to the Area Round, where the Lady Lions will play Plains.
