The Red Raiders find themselves in a precarious situation after Tech dropped their two previous conference matchups in a row to TCU and Cincinnati. Texas Tech lost to TCU 85-78 in Fort Worth before losing the Red Raiders' first home game to the Bearcats 75-72 in Lubbock over the weekend. Baylor overcame a three-game losing streak with wins over UCF and Iowa State last week and seemed to figure some things out.

What’s worse for Texas Tech is that Baylor is currently 3-1 in conference games at Foster Pavillion this season and 11-1 at home overall in 2024. The Red Raiders have never played at the Bears' new arena, and Tuesday night will be the first time the two clash. Baylor leads the all-time series 82-64 and 39-30 in Waco and won the last seven out of ten. However, Texas Tech swept the Bears last season in the two games in Waco and Lubbock.

Texas Tech needs to lean on Pop Isaacs against the Bears once again. Isaacs leads the Big 12 in points per game this season (20.5 points) and has come off a 25-point performance against TCU and 22 points against Cincinnati.
