FRISCO, TX — The Dallas Cowboys season might be headed back to the drawing board after a disappointing first-round playoff exit this year. Still, four players on the team were announced as finalists for NFL Honors for their performances during the regular season. Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, DaRon Bland, and Micah Parsons are up for several prestigious awards.
- NFL MVP Finalists: Dak Prescott (DAL), Lamar Jackson (BAL), Christian McCaffrey (SF), Josh Allen (BUF), Brock Purdy (SF)
- NFL Offensive Player of the Year: Dak Prescott (DAL), CeeDee Lamb (DAL), Lamar Jackson (BAL), Tyreek Hill (MIA), Christian McCaffrey (SF)
- NFL Defensive Player of the Year: DaRon Bland (DAL), Micah Parsons (DAL), TJ Watt (PIT), Max Crosby (LV), Myles Garrett (CLE)
DaRon Bland set an NFL record this season with 5-pick sixes in 2023. The 2nd-year corner filled in for injured Trevon Diggs after Diggs went down in practice with a torn ACL early in the season. He filled Diggs’s role extremely well and propelled the Dallas defense into one of the best defenses in the Leauge. However, Bland faces stiff competition with former Defensive Rookie of the Year and fellow teammate Micah Parsons, and former DPOY TJ Watt.
Dak Prescott had an incredible regular season that might be overshadowed by an abysmal first half in the Wild Card round against the Green Bay Packers. Despite this, he and CeeDee Lamb lit up the NFL this season with incredible performance after incredible performance on their way to the NFC’s No. 2 seed.
