The Central Bobcats opened up district play in Odessa last Friday against the Permian Panthers. A slow start and cold first quarter ultimately led to the ‘Cats' downfall, but a solid halftime adjustment gave hope for a quick turnaround on Tuesday against the Bulldogs. Squeaky English continues to show why he is one of the most talented athletes in the district with another strong performance against Permian, and Bobcats fans should expect more of the same against Midland High.

The Lady Cats extended their winning streak with another district victory over Permian last Friday. Central slowly built a lead throughout the game that was whittled away by the Lady Panthers in the 4th quarter. Excellent ball control from the Lady Cats ultimately helped Central seal the win in the end, and the ladies retained their position in 1st place in the district.

Head Coach Arsenior Geter gave his thoughts on the Lady Cats’ performance after the game. Watch the full interview below:

Central needs another strong performance on Tuesday night if the ladies want to keep control in district play. With a win over Midland Legacy and Frenship, Central put themselves in an excellent position moving forward. However, it only takes one slip-up for the carefully built winning record to crumble.

Tip-off for the Lady Cats is at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday night. The Bobcats’ game will follow immediately after.
