Angelo State Basketball Hosts UTPB on Tuesday

SAN ANGELO, TX — The Angelo State Rams Basketball team hosts its final home game in a three-game home series on Tuesday, December 12, against the University of Texas Permian Basin. The Rams come from a successful weekend where they won two Lone Star Conference matchups against UAFS and Oklahoma Christian last Thursday and Saturday.

Head Coach Vinay Patel talked about the wins over the weekend at Angelo State’s weekly press conference held on Monday morning at the Junell Center. Coach Patel also discussed what it will take to finish this homestand with another win on Tuesday.

Angelo State continues to show glimpses of what this team is capable of on the offensive side of the floor. Four different Rams scored in the double digits against Oklahoma Christian last Saturday. Angelo State will need that same production level on Tuesday against a talented UTPB roster. The Falcons currently sport a 7-2 overall record (3-1 in LSC) and look to keep pace with the undefeated in-conference Rams.
