SAN ANGELO, TX — A member of the Central Lady Cats Volleyball received honors for her performance during the Lady Cats’ volleyball season on Wednesday night. At the field house at San Angelo Stadium, Lady Cats Outside Hitter Emilee Sikora received the Greater Texas Ford Dealers Athlete of the Month for October.

Jim Bass Cars and Trucks presented Sikora with the trophy before she posed for pictures with her friends, family, and coaches. The Lady Cats finished their 2023 campaign in the Area Round of the playoffs this season when they fell to Southlake Carroll. Despite the loss, Central had a successful season. The Ladies finished with a 33-11 overall record and in second place in District 2-6A. The Lady Cats also claimed a Bi-District Championship with a 5-set win over El Paso Franklin.
Sikora was pivotal to the success of the Lady Cats this season and adds this award to many other honors she’s received this season. The Junior received the Oustanding Hitter award for District 2-6A. Sikora returns to the Lady Cats next season and will, without a doubt, be instrumental in the Lady Cats' success in the future. Congratulations Emilee!
