1A Texas State Championship Games are Set

SAN ANGELO— The Six-Man Texas State Championships have been set and two squads are defending state champs! The Benjamin Mustangs and the Westbrook Wildcats are back in the state game!

1A-D2 — Benjamin v Oglesby

The Benjamin Mustangs beat the Klondike Cougars and will face the Oglesby Tigers at AT&T Stadium after the Tigers beat the Richland Springs Coyotes. This is the first state championship appearance by Oglesby. Of course, they’ll be playing the defending state champion Mustangs and Grayson Rigdon.

1A-D1 — Westbrook v Gordon

The Wildcats beat the Happy Cowboys to punch their ticket to AT&T Stadium while the Gordon Longhorns forced a mercy rule on the Jonesboro Eagles.
