Cowboys Division Rival Trades Major Defensive Play Maker

NEW YORK — The New York Giants are trading a big piece of their defensive line to an in-conference opponent.

The New York Giants are sending former first round pick, defensive tackle Leonard Williams, to the Seattle Seahawks for a reported 2024 second round pick and a 2025 fifth round pick. Williams is no stranger to being traded but this time, it comes with a move across the country.

Williams was drafted out of USC in the first round with the sixth overall pick by the New York Jets. Then, in 2019, the Giants traded for him and signed him to a three-year contract.

Over his career, Williams has 39.5 sacks, six forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries, and one interception.

According to reports, the trade will become official around 3:00 p.m.
