WALL, TX — The COVER1 Crew is happy to announce that Wall Hawks Quarterback Gunnar Dillard is our Carpet Tech COVER1 Player of the Week for Week 10 of the Texas High School Football Season.
In the Hawks’ matchup with TLCA San Angelo last Friday, Dillard led Wall to a 69-12 victory over the Eagles. The Junior quarterback threw 10 completions on 12 attempts for 194 yards and three touchdowns. On the ground, the option quarterback ran for 51 yards on six attempts and added another three touchdowns. Overall, Dillard contributed 245 all-purpose yards and 6 touchdowns in the Hawks’ dominant win.

San Angelo LIVE!’s Ryan Chadwick met with Dillard after practice on Thursday to present him with the award and ask the young man what he thinks about the Hawks’ season.
“First off, I want to take my hat off to my offensive line," Dillard said. "I'm not running the ball if they aren't out in front of me leading the way. It's the same way with throwing the ball, they give me time in the pocket and they give me the ability to get my receivers the ball."

The Hawks travel to Early to play the Longhorns on Friday, October 27, in a pivotal district matchup that will likely determine the eventual district champion. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m.
