Dallas Cowboys Offensive Playmaker Battling Injury

ARLINGTON— A Dallas Cowboys playmaker is dealing with an injury and may not be available to play this Sunday against the New York Jets.

New Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Brandin Cooks is reportedly dealing with a sprained MCL, an injury he may have sustained when the Cowboys beat the New York Giants on Sunday Night Football. Cooks has not practiced all week and has been working with the rehab.

Cooks missed four games last season when he played for the Houston Texans due to an injury.

The good news is the Cowboys have a pretty good wide receiver group with CeeDee Lamb, KaVontae Turpin, Michael Gallup, and Jalen Tolbert. They also have Jake Ferguson, Peyton Hendershot, and Luke Schoonmaker at tight end.

Also, after the Jets’ game on Monday Night Football, superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers is out for the season with an Achilles tear, so second-string quarterback Zack Wilson has taken over.

This could be a trap game for the Cowboys but with Micah Parsons leading the defense, they won’t lay down.

The Cowboys play the Jets this coming Sunday, September 17, 2023, at 3:25 p.m.
