Meet the Carpet Tech COVER1 Player of Opening Week of the 2023 Season of High School Football

WATER VALLEY — Week One of Texas High School Football is in the books. With that, here is the first Carpet Tech LIVE! COVER1 player of the week.

This week’s winner comes from Water Valley. The running back for the Wildcats, David Valeriano, played a crucial role in the Wildcats' week one victory over the TLCA Abilene Eagles, 60-9. Valeriano put up 4 touchdowns and 158 rushing yards in only 10 carries.

To top it off, Valeriano also scored a receiving TD. COVER1 and Carpet Tech will select one athlete a week this season.
