WATER VALLEY— Former Water Valley head coach Charles Boles is now cancer free.
According to a post shared on the Water Valley Independent School District’s Facebook page, former Wildcat head coach Charles Boles is now cancer free after dealing with the disease three different times.
Last season, a GoFundMe was set up when it was discovered Coach Boles was dealing with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
The post reads:
After 18 months, 129 visits to MDACC, three different treatment plans failed…
Much suffering…
He is now cancer free!
Charlie started a new chemo regimen two months ago. Yesterday he had scans and bloodwork done. Today we got the good report from the Dr. His bloodwork was almost normal and his PET scan showed no tumors. He’ll continue this new treatment for at least another six months. We are so excited that this is working!
Please continue to pray that this new treatment will keep him in remission. His cancer is not curable but with treatment can be controlled. Thanks to everyone who has shown us so much love and support.
