NFL Preseason Kicks Off on Thursday

FOXBOROUGH, MA — The 2023 NFL Preseason officially kicks off on Thursday, August 10, when the Houston Texans travel to Foxborough to take on Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots. Technically, 2023’s first preseason game was the Hall of Fame game held every year in Canton, Ohio, where the Cleveland Browns defeated the New York Jets 21-16, but as it was the only game that weekend, it is tough to call it the NFL’s official preseason kickoff.

The Dallas Cowboys begin their preseason at home in Arlington against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Saturday, August 12, at 4 p.m. CST. The game can be watched on CBS or streamed on the CBS Sports website. The game can also be streamed on the NFL+ app though blackout restrictions apply.
