AUSTIN, TX — University of Texas quarterback, Arch Manning, sold his first trading card at auction on Saturday, July 29, for a record-setting number. Manning’s one-of-one Prizm Black autographed card sold for $102,500 in an auction for charity. Apparently, the Manning name carries a great deal of weight, even for a young man who currently sits 3rd on the depth chart at Texas.
Arch Manning is the son of Cooper Manning, nephew of NFL Legends and Hall of Famers Peyton and Eli Manning, and grandson of Archie Manning.

Manning’s card set a record for the highest-selling card bought through a company’s website. Dallas Mavericks point-guard Luka Doncic, whose national treasures card sold for $100,000. All proceeds from the sale went to charity. The sale will benefit a Central Texas nonprofit with help from St. David’s HealthCare and St. David’s Foundation.
The winner of the auction remained anonymous as of now but has the opportunity to meet Arch Manning, catch passes from the young quarterback, and take part in the check presentation for the proceeds. The sale was also Manning’s first NIL deal since arriving in Austin. The young quarterback has gigantic shoes to fill, but as the sale showed, some people believe that he will definitely live up to the hype.
The Texas Longhorns kick off their final season in the Big 12 Conference on September 2, at 2:30 p.m. against the Rice Owls.
