NOVATO, CA — The popular NBA Basketball video game, “NBA 2K,” announced on Thursday, June 6, that Kobe Bryant would be the cover athlete for NBA 2K24. Both fans of the annual game and the sport itself are thrilled with today’s news that the late great Kobe Bryant will man the cover of the game’s two special editions. Kobe Bryant wore the number 24, which coincides with this year’s game release.
Bryant will appear on both the “Kobe Bryant” edition and “Black Mamba” edition. He last appeared on the NBA 2K cover in 2021 in the “Mamba Forever” editions of NBA 2K21. NBA 2K21 was the first installment after Kobe’s untimely death in 2020 after Bryant was involved in a helicopter crash that took the lives of both Bryant, his daughter Gigi, and seven other passengers.

The Lakers Legend has now appeared on more covers than any other player in the NBA. He’s appeared on six covers in total 2K10, 2K17, two for 2K21, and now two for 2K24.
