ARLINGTON, TX — The Big 12 released its 2023 Media Preseason Football All-Big 12 Team on Wednesday. Many notable names from around the conference made the list with some additional new faces. The addition of four teams to the Big 12 in 2023 made the list even more expansive than in years past. This list was voted on by media representatives who cover the league.
- Offensive Player of the Year: Jalon Daniels, Kansas, QB, 6-0, 215, Jr., Lawndale, Calif.
- Defensive Player of the Year: Jaylan Ford, Texas, LB, 6-3, 236, Sr., Frisco, Texas
- Newcomer of the Year: Treshaun Ward, Kansas State, RB, 5-10, 194, Sr., Plant City, Fla.

Texas leads the way in 2023 with five selections on the list. The Longhorns expect great performances from the guys on their offense and defense in its last year in the Big 12. Kansas, TCU, and Kansas State both have four selections total from both sides of the ball. Texas Tech, Cincinnati, and Oklahoma State have two selections each. Baylor, BYU, Oklahoma, West Virginia, and Iowa State round out the team with one selection from each of these universities. Neither Houston nor UCF had players who made the Preseason All-Big 12 Team.
