Braden joins some of the best players in 3A Baseball, including two members of the State Champion Team that bested Wall in the State Finals, Boyd. The young man was a dangerous weapon for the Hawks as well as a stalwart defender on defense. Head Coach of the Hawks, Jason Schniers, who announced his retirement following the conclusion of the 2023 season, had great things to say about Braden.
“Caleb is a super hard worker both in the classroom and on the field and basketball court. He is continuously striving to better himself and the team. He goes above and beyond and makes sacrifices for his teammates,” Schniers said of Braden on Thursday.
While the Hawks fell 6-4 to the Boyd Yellow Jackets in the State Final, Braden, and the entire roster will be back next year to reload and make another state championship run. The Hawks put out a squad full of underclassmen this year but still managed to make it to the final game. Watch out for these Wall Hawks next season, as they can only get better from here.
