Angelo State Head Baseball Coach Kevin Brooks Wins DII Coach of the Year

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — The accolades continue to roll in for the 2023 Division II National Champion Angelo State Rams Baseball Team. The latest goes to the Rams’ Head Coach, Kevin Brooks. The American Baseball Coaches Association and ATEC announced the 2023 National Coaches of the Year, naming Angelo State's Kevin Brooks as the NCAA Division II National Coach of the Year.

Brooks finished his 19th season this year with a program record 56-9 finish. Brooks helped set the program and conference record for wins in a season in 2023. He also led the Rams to their first-ever National Title. Brooks now holds 743 wins as a coach and passed the 700-win mark this season as the Rams’ Skipper.

The 2023 ABCA/ATEC National Coaches of the Year will be honored at the 2024 ABCA Convention in Dallas on the main clinic stage on Friday, January 5, before the start of the clinics.

The ABCA/ATEC National and Regional Coaches of the Year are selected by members of the ABCA All-America & Coach of the Year committees in all nine divisions: NCAA Divisions I, II and III, NAIA, NJCAA Divisions I, II and III, Pacific Association Division and high school.
