The Annual Angelo Football Clinic Kicks Off Thursday

SAN ANGELO, TX — 2023 marks the Angelo Football Clinic's 50th anniversary, and major changes happen this year. The Coaches’ Clinic began  Thursday, June 15, and runs through Saturday, June 17, with 21 coaches slated to speak in the next three days. Known as one of the best in-person coaching clinics in the past, 2023 marked a considerable change for the Angelo Football Clinic when it moved to a permanent virtual format this year. In previous years, Angelo State University hosted the Football Clinic under the direction of the Rams’ Head Football Coach, Jeff Girsh. However, this year, everything happens online.

There are several big names on that list. Dave Aranda, Matt Rhule, Jeff Traylor, and Dana Dimel are all Head Coaches for their respective programs. Will Stein and Kendal Briles command two of College Football’s most prolific offenses (Oregon and TCU). Professional Football is also represented by AJ Smith and Noel Mazzone. They might not be NFL coaches at the moment, but both coaches bring a considerable amount of knowledge and experience to the table.
