San Angelo ISD Spring Athletes Honored by the School Board

SAN ANGELO, TX — The San Angelo Independent School District honored its spring high school athletes May 15 at an SAISD board meeting. Region 2 Athletic Administrator of the Year Rodney Chant presented each of the high school team members and listed their accomplishments.

Per their website, “San Angelo ISD proudly celebrated Executive Director of Athletics Rodney Chant for the distinguished honor of being named Region 2 Athletic Administrator of the Year by the Texas High School Athletic Directors Association (THSADA). The Athletic Administrator of the Year is in recognition of the dedicated service, leadership, and special contributions of local and regional interscholastic athletic administrators.”

Coach Chant introduced each of the teams and their coaches. Here are the teams represented.

• Lake View Maidens’ Track
• Lake View Chiefs’ Track
• Lake View Chiefs’ Baseball
• 2023 State Champions Lady Cats Gymnastics
• Central Bobcats Track
• Lady Cats Track
• Lady Cat Softball

Some of the Seniors on these teams were not present due to a prior conflict. Congratulations to all the student-athletes who made San Angelo proud this Spring!
