FRISCO, TX — The Dallas Cowboys will host something other than football at the Cowboys’ Headquarters at the Star in Frisco on Thursday, May 11. The 58th annual Country Music Awards will be the first event of its kind held at the 12,000-seat Ford Center. America’s Team headquarters will transform into one of the biggest stages in music, where Country music’s biggest stars will all be in attendance.
Two of Dallas’s Stars will present the first award to open up the show. Cowboys’ quarterback Dak Prescott and NFL legend Emmit Smith will present the first award together. Both players spent their careers adding to the Cowboys' popularity, and now, Jerry Jones looks to branch out America’s Team even further. In 2016, Jones built the $5.1 billion, 91-acre facility in the hopes of hosting major events at the Star. He wants to bring the Draft and even the NFL combine to the Star.
The 58th Country Music Awards will feature awards presented by the Dallas Cowboys, other country music stars, and other notable figures in the country's entertainment industry. Dolly Parton and Garth Brooks will host the event. The two-hour show is highlighted by live performances by Ed Sheeran, HARDY, Jason Aldean, Kane Brown, Luke Combs, Cody Johnson, Miranda Lambert, Jo Dee Messina, Jelly Roll, Cole Swindell, Keith Urban, Morgan Wallen, and more. The finale will feature the world premiere of Parton’s single from her upcoming rock album.
Established in 1966, the Academy of Country Music Awards is the longest-running country music awards show and made history in 2022 as the first major awards ceremony to exclusively live stream in partnership with Prime Video.
This year anyone and everyone can watch the show commercial-free on Prime Video. The full rebroadcast will stream the following day for free on Amazon Freevee.
