SAN ANGELO, TX — Angelo State University and the Rams Clay Target Team invite the public to participate in the sixth annual Rams Reload Sporting Clay Shoot benefiting ASU scholarships and the Rams Clay Target Team. The benefit shoot will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at the San Angelo Claybird Association at 13525 Duncan Road, San Angelo, TX.
Rams Reload is the annual benefit sporting clays shoot that allows those in the shooting community to come together to support the Rams Clay Target Team. The event is held on the last Saturday of the spring semester, prior to ASU’s graduation. The San Angelo Claybird Association is the host club for the event.
Registration is now open and can be found here. The community can also donate to the Rams Clay Target Team to help cover travel costs, practice, and competition costs, as well as equipment needs for the team.
This is a non-registered benefit shoot. Shooting squads consist of up to five shooters. Individual or partial squads are welcome to participate. Online pre-registration is encouraged prior to the event. Event registration and breakfast begin at 8:30 a.m. the day of the event, shooting at 10:00 a.m. with lunch and auction to follow.
Live auction, awards, and prize giveaways (random draw) will begin following lunch. Shooters must be present to win the random draw prizes. High Over All (HOA) and runner-up awards will be provided. All ties will be broken by scores on a pre-determined station.
