SAN ANGELO, TX — Three San Angelo Central Bobcats signed to play football at the next level on Monday, April 11. As friends and family gathered to watch the proceedings in the Turf Room at San Angelo Stadium, Eric Martinez, Sterling Cummings, and Evan Arnold signed their papers at their respective universities and took their next step into their College Football careers.
EVAN ARNOLD, MLB - KANSAS WESLEYAN
Evan Arnold signed with Kansas Wesleyan University on Monday. Arnold finished his 2022 campaign as the 'Cats' second-overall leading tackler with 78 tackles. The young man had 47 solo tackles and added three sacks. He joins a Wesleyan team that finished 8-3 in 2022, and with his speed, he should add immediate value to their roster.
ERIC MARTINEZ, OL, AND STERLING CUMMINGS, OL - MCMURRY UNIVERSITY
Two offensive linemen decided to attend the same Univesity on Monday. Eric Martinez and Sterling Cummings signed with the McMurry University Warhawks to play at their college ball. The Central Bobcats' Offensive line was one of the best facets of their team this year. Behind the likes of these two, the 'Cats accumulated 2398 yards on the ground and over 200 yards a game. Additionally, their sound play allowed Angelo State commit Tyler Hill to throw for over 2300 yards through the air. Any team that these two play for receives an immediate boost to their lineup.
