SAN ANGELO, TX — The San Angelo Bobcats and Lady Cats Soccer teams recently received All-District Honors for District 2-6A. Several members from both squads made the list. Congratulations ‘Cats!
CENTRAL BOBCATS
The Bobcats finished the 2023 season with a 9-6-8 (3-4-3) and fourth place in District 2-6A. Not only was the Little Southwest Conference incredibly talented this season, but the Bobcats started several young student-athletes as well. Despite their relative inexperience on the roster, the seniors on this team paved the way to another playoff berth. The ‘Cats fell in Andrews in the first round of the playoffs to El Paso Eastlake 3-1. The Bobcats will be back with a vengeance next season.

LADY CATS
The San Angelo Central Lady Cats finished their 2023 campaign with a 12-5-5 (3-3-4) overall record and third place in their district. After they defeated El Paso Eastwood in the first round of the playoffs 2-1, they came up against the defending champions, undefeated and No.1 ranked South Lake Carrol Lady Dragons. After the Lady Cats held South Lake Carol to one goal in the first half, the Lady Dragons pulled away in the second to end Central’s season 4-0. Despite the loss, the Lady Cats finished the year with a Bi-District Championship.
