Cheese Heads Melt at Aaron Rodgers News Wednesday

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — The Aaron Rodgers Era in Green Bay is almost at an end. Rodgers expressed his intent to play for the NY Jets on Wednesday, March 15, on the Pat McAfee Show, stating that the Packers seem ready to move on from the Veteran Quarterback. On Monday, March 13, according to Pro Football Network’s Trey Wingo, Former Green Bay Packers Quarterback Aaron Rodgers is being traded to the New York Jets.

“Hearing Rodgers to the Jets is done—history about to repeat itself between New York and Green Bay. Time is indeed a flat circle.” - per Trey Wingo on Twitter.

The 17-year veteran spent his entire career with the Green Bay Packers until now. Rodgers won the Super Bowl and Super Bowl MVP in 2011 in the Packer’s 35-27 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl XLV. Rodgers won four League MVPs with the Packers in 2011, 2014, and then back-to-back in 2020 and 2021.

Rodgers is arguably one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever play the game. However, seasons met with unfilled expectations and bad post-season losses marred what otherwise would have been an almost perfect career.

Aaron Rodgers came on to the Pat McAfee Show on Wednesday to discuss his feelings on retirement. Rodgers expressed that he wants to continue playing and that the Packers are ready to move on. While nothing is official, Rodgers intends to play for the New York Jets next season.

“Now it's about the reality of the situation. I think that there are people that are ready to move on, and I get it. I'm not upset about it. I have nothing but love in my heart for every Packer fan and everybody who works in the organization. My life is better for my time in Green Bay. They don’t want me to come back, and that’s fine. They are ready to move on with Jordan (Love),” Rodgers said.

All that remains now is for the Packers and the Jets to work out a trade that Green Bay is satisfied with the compensation. Aaron Rodgers was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in 2005 and has spent his entire career in Titletown. The Jordan Love Era is almost officially set to begin.
