SAN ANGELO, TX — Round 2 of the UIL Texas High School Basketball Girls’ Playoffs begins on Thursday, Feb. 16. Several Concho Valley teams cut and play their Area round game.

WALL VS HOLLIDAY

The Wall Lady Hawks travel to Anson on Thursday to play the Holliday Lady Eagles at 6:30 p.m. This game will be the most challenging game for the Lady Hawks since the last time they played Jim Ned. Holliday won its district this season with a perfect 12-0 mark. They outscored their opponents 1895 to 985. The Lady Hawks must play their best to advance to the next round.

BALLINGER VS CITY VIEW

The Lady Cats make their way to Haskell on Thursday to play City View at 6:30 p.m. City View finished third in its district this season, but Ballinger has a great chance to advance to the third round.

CHRISTOVAL VS WINK

The Christoval Lady Cougars traveled to Rankin on Thursday to play the Wink Lady Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. Wink won their district, while the Lady Cougars claimed second place in theirs. Christoval has a tough challenge in front of them, but the ladies can bring home another victory.
 

ELDORADO VS NEW HOME

The Lady Eagles travel to Snyder on Thursday to play New Home at Western Texas College at 6 p.m. New Home is no. 2 in the state, so this will be a difficult matchup for Eldorado.

MASON VS SKIDMORE TYNAN

The Lady Punchers travel to Hondo on Thursday to play No. 5 Skidmore Tynan at 7 p.m.

IRION COUNTY VS RANKIN

The Lady Hornets face the Lady Red Devils at Lakeview High School in San Angelo on Friday, Feb. 17, at 6 p.m.

EDEN VS BALMORHEA

The Lady Bulldogs play Balmorhea on Friday, Feb. 17, in Big Lake at 6 p.m.

MENARD VS MARATHON

Menard travels to Iraan on Friday, Feb. 17, to play Marathon at 6 p.m.

VERIBEST VS BUENA VISTA

Veribest travels to Garden City on Friday, Feb. 17, to play Buena Vista at 6 p.m.
