Angelo State University Baseball Kicks Off with Fireworks Show

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – Angelo State University is inviting the community to take part in a weekend of family-friendly activities Friday through Sunday, Feb. 17-19, including baseball, basketball and softball games, and highlighted by a free fireworks show following the softball game on Friday evening.

Friday, Feb. 17:

  • 3 p.m. - Rams Baseball vs. UT Permian Basin, Foster Field at 1st Community Credit Union Stadium
  • 5 p.m. - Rambelles Softball vs. West Texas A&M, Mayer Field
  • Following the Softball Game - Free Fireworks Show

Saturday, Feb. 18:

  • 1 p.m. - Belles Basketball vs. UT Tyler, Junell Center/Stephens Arena
  • 1 p.m. & 3 p.m. - Rams Baseball vs. UT Permian Basin (double header)
  • 1 p.m. & 3:30 p.m. - Rambelles Softball vs. West Texas A&M (double header)
  • 3 p.m. - Rams Basketball vs. UT Tyler, Junell Center/Stephens Arena

Sunday, Feb. 19:

  • 1 p.m. - Rams Baseball vs. UT Permian Basin

Residents in the surrounding area may hear loud popping and blasts as the fireworks commence on Friday evening. For concerns during the event, the public is advised to contact the ASU Police Department at 325-942-2071.

For Saturday's Rams and Belles basketball games, it will be Educators Appreciation Day at the Junell Center/Stephens Arena. All employees from the San Angelo Independent School District, Concho Valley ISDs and ASU, as well as their spouses and dependents, will get free admission to the games with their employee ID badges.
