Cowboys Player Rewards Abilene Soldier with 'Super' Surprise

ABILENE— A Dallas Cowboys player has gifted a service member a trip to the Super Bowl.

Cowboys All-Pro linebacker Micah Parsons teamed up with USAA to give Super Bowl LVII tickets to Texas Army National Guard Sergeant First Class Mark Watson who currently resides in Abilene, Texas.

From military to law enforcement, Sergeant First Class Mark Watson and his family have been protecting and serving our country for more than 30 years and counting,” Parsons said, “Coming from a military family myself, it’s a great pleasure to team up with USAA and the Special Forces Association to recognize and thank a true hero and a Cowboys fan like him! I look forward to meeting Mark and his wife in Phoenix.”

Watson’s military record includes serving in the U.S. Army from 1983-1987 and the Texas Army National Guard from 2007 to present day. Mark’s two daughters also served with one being an Army veteran and the other being a Navy veteran.

Mark and his wife, Kimberly, are both Dallas Cowboys fans and will meet Parsons at Super Bowl LVII in Phoenix, Arizona on February 12, 2023 where the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Philadelphia Eagles.
