SAN ANGELO, TX — Several Concho Valley High School Basketball teams saw action on Tuesday, Jan. 3. Here are the matchups and outcomes.
SAN ANGELO CENTRAL BOBCATS (17-4)
The Bobcats hosted the Lubbock Trinity Christian Lions at Central high school. A back-and-forth first half leaned towards the Lions after an explosive 3rd quarter allowed Trinity Christian to pull away in the second half. The Bobcats lost 65-51. The Bobcats host another home game this weekend on Saturday, Jan. 7, at 6 p.m.
LADY CATS (13-10)
The Lady Cats traveled to Stephenville to battle the Honeybees at Stephenville Highschool. The Lady Cats lost that matchup 38-32. Central begins district play in Wolfforth this Friday, Jan. 6, against the Frenship Tigers at 6 p.m.
LAKE VIEW CHIEFS (5-13)
The Chiefs traveled to Midland to play the Greenwood Rangers on Tuesday. Excellent three-point shooting from the Rangers put Lake View well behind in this one, and the Chiefs lost 54-30. Lake View travels to Llano to play the Yellowjackets on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
LAKE VIEW MAIDENS (2-14)
The Maidens played in Abilene against Abilene Cooper. Lake View fell 81-22. The Maidens play their first district game at home against the Snyder Tigers on Friday At 6:15 p.m.
TLCA EAGLES (15-5)
The TLCA Eagles and the Grape Creek eagles squared off in district play on Monday night. TLCA dominated grape creek 97-32. the grape creek girls notched a win against the TLCA girls in the early game, 28-20. TLCA travels to Clyde on Friday to play the Clyde bulldogs.
LADY EAGLES (2-12)

WALL HAWKS (8-6)
The Hawks moved to 2-0 in their district with a win over the Clyde Bulldogs on Tuesday. A slow start gave way to a strong finish as the Hawks scored 31 points in the second half. Augden Hallmark led Wall with 15 points, with 13 of those points in the second half.
No. 9 LADY HAWKS (17-3)
The No. 9 ranked Lady Hawks played in the early game in Clyde against the Lady Bulldogs. Wall struggled at times in this game but won all the same, 57-35.
The Wall Hawks host a doubleheader against the Ballinger Bearcats on Friday, Jan. 6. The Lady Hawks start at 6:15 p.m., with the Hawks following after.
CHRISTOVAL COUGARS (8-9)
Christoval hosted Ozona at Christoval High School on Tuesday evening. The Cougars came off several victories, and a championship in Irion County's yearly tournament, where Christoval beat the No. 2 ranked 1A Irion County Hornets. The Cougars continued their winning ways and beat Ozona 82-43 to move to 2-0 in their district.
LADY COUGARS (11-11)
The Lady Cougars dropped their first district game this season to Ozona 45-33.
Christoval returns to action on Friday, Jan. 6, for another district game, this time at Water Valley. The girls start at 6:15 p.m., with the boys following right after.
GRAPE CREEK EAGLES (1-11)
The Eagles faced a tough matchup against TLCA at home on Tuesday and lost 97-32.
LADY EAGLES (3-11)
The Lady Eagles picked up their first district win and third of the season against the TLCA girls on Tuesday, 29-22.
Grape Creek faces another fierce district opponent on Friday, Jan. 6 when they travel to Tuscola to play the Jim Ned Indians.
