SAN ANGELO, TX — The San Angelo Central Bobcats Soccer team moved to 2-0 on the season after crushing the Snyder Tigers on Monday, Jan. 2, at Old Bobcat Stadium in San Angelo.
The ‘Cats overpowered the Tigers in all phases of the game to jump out to an early lead. Central continued to pour it on throughout the remainder of the contest to claim victory, 9-0. This win comes off Central’s 3-0 victory last week against the Abilene Wylie Bulldogs.
Central’s Junior Varsity team plays against the Sweet Water Varsity on Tuesday, Jan. 3, at 5:30 p.m. at San Angelo Stadium.
The Bobcats return to action in the Alamo Heights Invitational Tournament on Thursday, Jan. 5, at Alamo Heights High School in San Antonio.
LADY CATS SOCCER
The Lady Cats played their first game of the 22-23’ season on Friday, Dec. 30, against the Abilene Cooper Cougars in Abilene. Central outplayed the Cougars all game and walked away from their season opener with a 5-1 victory.
Lexi Templin, Dre Dena, Jillian Hernandez, Carley Martinez, and Alexis Rodgers all scored goals against Abilene Cooper.
The Lady Cats participate in the Woodlands Tournament this weekend, Jan. 5-7, in The Woodlands, Tx.
