Angelo State Football Players Named on All-American Team

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – The Angelo State football team received two All-American accolades from the American Football Coaches Association as Daron Allman and Jacob Long with both named to the Division II lists for the 2022 season.

Allman, a linebacker from Killeen, Texas, was named to the First-Team Defense after leading the LSC in tackles for loss with 15. He tallied 69 tackles on the season as he helped the Rams to the top-ranked defense in Division II.

An offensive lineman from Waco, Texas, Long was selected Second-Team Offense after helping ASU to the top-ranked offense in the Lone Star with 429.7 yards per game, holding the second-highest totals in both passing and rushing yards per game.
