SAN ANGELO – The Lake View Chiefs and the TLCA Eagles’ boys and girls basketball teams see action this weekend, Dec. 8-10.
CHIEFS AND EAGLES
The Chiefs and Eagles participate in the Ballinger Bearcats’ annual high school basketball tournament in Ballinger.
As of now, Lake View lost its first game of the Ballinger Tournament to the Ballinger Bearcats.
The Chiefs come off a string of losses, most recently against the Brownwood Lions on Tuesday, Dec. 6, in Brownwood. Three different Chiefs, including two starters, were injured during the contest. Lake View played hard all game and kept it close but fell in the end 75-69.
RJ Bohannon led the Chiefs with 19 points, followed by Tony Cabrera with 15 and Carlos Robledo with 14.
Meanwhile, the TLCA Eagles come off a home win against the Cornerstone Christian Lions 77-39. The Eagles also performed well in the Doug McCutchen Memorial Tournament last weekend, with standouts Drew Sherrill and Jaidden Villanueva making the All-Tournament Team.
As of now, the TLCA Eagles won their first two games of the Ballinger Tournament. They beat the Central JV 71-29 Thursday morning and Coleman 82-56 Thursday afternoon.

MAIDENS AND LADY EAGLES
The Lake View Maidens travel to Brady on Thursday, Dec. 8-10, to play several schools in the Brady Bulldogs Basketball Tournament.
The TLCA Lady Eagles travel to Sonora on Thursday, Dec. 8-10, to play in the Sonora Broncos tournament.
