WALL – The Miles Bulldogs traveled to Wall last night to face off against the Wall Hawks in a non-district basketball matchup.
Starting things off, the Lady Bulldogs (7-1) had a rough night dealing with the Lady Hawks (12-2). Wall ended up winning 56-13. Miles had plenty of good defensive plays but it wasn't enough to overcome Wall. Grace Schwertner led the Lady Bulldogs with eight points and sophomore Kendyl Riddle and Jessica Hinds each had two points. Small forward junior Kaleigh Elliott made a free throw to end up with one point.
Wall senior and power forward Kamryn Williams, who recently signed with Angelo State University to play volleyball, and small forward Renly Weishuhn each scored 11 points while sophomore point guard Brylyn Watts ended the game with eight.

The Wall Lady Hawks play the Jim Ned Indians at 6:00 p.m. at Wall on December 13, 2022.
The Miles Lady Bulldogs play the Eula Pirates in Eula at 6:30 p.m. in Eula on December 13, 2022.
The Miles Bulldogs (6-1) had to contend with the (4-4) Wall Hawks and Everson Armstrong, who signed with Angelo State University to play basketball, and came up short 62-41. The final score doesn't reflect the actual game as at one point early on, the Bulldogs were down six points.
In the closing seconds of the first quarter, Wall's Armstrong drove to the basket, making his shot, only for Carson Ellison to make a beautiful half court shot for three points.
But Armstrong proved to be a difference maker as he scored 27 points all night while Jack Duncan scored 22. Augden Hallmark sank 3-three pointers and Logan Thomas, fresh off the football field, scored four points.
The Ellison brothers for Miles were a problem as Carson had 19 points and Cooper scored eight. Hayven Book ended the game with five points.
