Republican Congressman August Pfluger Leads Team to Congressional Baseball Game Victory

 

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Republicans shut out the Democrats on Thursday night during the 87th annual Congressional baseball game in Washington D.C.

The Republicans, including San Angelo's CD-11 Congressman August Pfluger, dominated Democrats 10-0. During the game there was a rain delay in the fourth inning at the time of the delay the Republicans were up 4-0.

One of the leaders on the Republican's team was San Angelo's own August Pfluger. Not only did he play well in the field and behind the plate but Pfluger also pitched a shut out during the back half of the game.

Pfluger was able to get a number of strike outs including the last one of the game.
