Dolphins Trade 5 Picks for Playmaking, Speedy Wide Receiver

MIAMI, FL- A top target on a high-flying offense is going to South Beach for a king’s ransom.

Wide receiver Tyreek Hill, formerly of the Kansas City Chiefs, has been traded to the Miami Dolphins. Contract talks between Hill and the Chiefs somewhat broke, and the speedy wide out was given permission to seek a trade.

According to insiders, contract talks broke down when Davonte Adams was traded to the Las Vegas Raiders and Hill.

The New York Jets and the Miami Dolphins were the two teams in the running for Hill and the Dolphins won out.

The Dolphins will be sending the Chiefs their 2022 1st, 2nd, 4th round picks and their 2023 4th and 6th round picks.

Not only dealing out draft picks, Miami also gave Hill a 4-year, $120 million contract with $72.2 million guaranteed making him the highest paid wide receiver in the league.

Tyreek Hill was drafted in the 5th round of 2016 and became one of the premiere wide receivers in the league very quickly with Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Hill had domestic abuse issues in college which caused him to fall that far in the draft.

Over his career, Hill has 479 catches and 6,630 yards through the air, 719 rushing yards, and 1,393 return yards, and 67 total touchdowns. Hill is a Super Bowl Champion, and All-Pro, and has been to 6 Pro Bowls since joining the league.

The Dolphins have been busy this offseason to give new head coach Mike McDaniel something to work with. The young offensive minded coach has added some serious fire power to put up points.

Miami has signed offensive linemen Terron Armstead, running back Raheem Mostert, and wide receiver Cedrick Wilson and drafted Jaylen Waddle in the first round in last years draft. They’ve also tagged tight end Mike Gesicki. All McDaniel needs to do is get quarterback Tua Tagovailoa on track.
