Super Bowl 51 has Superstars of All Kinds

INGLEWOOD, CA- Super Bowl Sunday is upon us as the Los Angeles Rams are set to take on the Cincinnati Bengals in SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.

Both the Rams and Bengals received a lot of love Thursday night as the NFL Honors took place.

Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase won the Pepsi Rookie of the Year award as well as Offensive Rookie of the Year. Ja’Marr Chase played at LSU in college and was the 4th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Another Bengal and LSU player received awards too as Cincy quarterback Joe Burrow took home the NFL Comeback Player of the Year award and the Courtyard Unstoppable Performance of the Year award for his play in week 17 against the Kansas City Chiefs. In his rookie season, Joe Burrow was the 1st overall pick and tore his ACL against the Washington Football Team, now the Commanders, in week 11.

For two years, the Bengals had top 5 picks and are new heading to the Super Bowl. The Rams also received some love for wide receiver Cooper Kupp last night. Kupp won two awards, the AP Offensive Player of the Year and the Draftkings Daily Fantasy Player of the Year award.

As for the Super Bowl, there will be some superstar matchups to watch.

Rams’ corner Jalen Ramsey should be locked on Ja’Marr Chase all night. Bengals running back Joe Mixon is a tough runner and a good receiver who set the Bengals franchise record this year with 1,815 scrimmage yards.

One thing the Bengals will be focused on is the Rams pass rush. Defensive tackle Aaron Donald and edge Von Miller will look to make Burrow’s life difficult. Miller has 14 postseason quarterback pressures and has created more of a pass rush for Los Angeles.

No Super Bowl is complete without a halftime show and you’ll probably embarrass your kids if you go to a Super Bowl party with them.

This year’s halftime show will consist of 5 performers, and they are big names in the music industry.

Mary J Blige, Dr. Dre, Eminim, Snoop Dogg, and Kendrick Lamar will perform. These 5 have 44 Grammys between them and you can watch the announcement video below.

Super Bowl 56 starts at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 13, 2022.
