SAN ANGELO, TX – Think you have what it takes to become an Angelo State Ram? Well then you're in luck because ASU will be hosting open tryouts at the end of this month.
According to Angelo Sports, on Jan. 31 at 5 p.m., the Angelo State football team will hold tryouts for prospective players.
The following items must be done prior to the tryout in order to participate:
- Prospective student-athletes must be enrolled full time (at least 12 hours) at Angelo State for the Spring of 2022.
- Provide a copy of your class schedule to the tryout.
- Results of a Sickle Cell Solubility test will need to be provided as well as a copy of a physical administered within six months of the tryout.
- If you don't have sickle cell test results a sickle cell waiver form will be available.
- Results of an EKG test will need to be provided.
- If you don't have EKG test results a EKG waiver form will be available.
- A tryout waiver form will also be signed at the tryout.
Anyone that is interested needs to meet outside the Ben & Alvetta Kelly Weight Room on the bottom floor of the Junell Center at 4:45pm on Monday, Jan. 31st. It is mandatory that all of the items be provided prior to the tryout.
