UIL to Allow Live Streaming of High School Football Games

SAN ANGELO,TX – The University Interscholastic League is going to allow online live-streaming of high school football games again this fall.

Before 2020 and COVID-19, there was no live-streaming of high school football games. It was allowed last season because of the limits and restrictions on attendance put in place due to the pandemic.

But now the live-streaming of high school games is going to be a regular thing.

This will only apply to online streaming and on-air broadcasts are still not allowed.

It wasn’t a unanimous decision but the committee voted in favor of the live streaming of the games. As of right now the ruling only applies to the 2021 season.

Most districts were in favor of the ruling.
