Former Dallas Cowboy Takes Levelland Head Football Coaching Job

 

LUBBOCK,TX – Former Red Raider / Dallas Cowboy Lyle Leong Jr. has taken the head football coaching job at Levelland High School.

Lyle Leong Jr. has taken the head football coaching job for the Levelland Lobos. He will also serve as the athletic director.

Leong Jr., who played wide receiver for the Red Raiders from 2007-2010, went undrafted to the NFL where he was signed by the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent.

Leong Jr. went on to play in the Canadian Football League for the Saskatchewan Roughriders and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

Lyle Leong Jr. was the offensive coordinator at Highlands High School in San Antonio.

Earlier this year, Leong Jr. was inducted into the Big Country Hall of Fame and played high school ball at Abilene High School.

Former Levelland head coach Andy Correll left the Levelland Lobos after posting a 6-16 record over the last two seasons.
