Rams Leave San Angelo Headed for the College World Series

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – The Angelo State Baseball team left San Angelo on Thursday morning to head to Cary, North Carolina to take on the Wingate Bulldogs in the first round of the D-II College World Series.

As previously reported, on May 30, the Angelo State Rams beat the West Texas A&M Buffs 18-4 to claim the 2021 NCAA Division II South-Central Regional Championship title at Foster Field at 1st Community Credit Union Stadium. Now their home field advantage has ended and they will be traveling more than 1,200 miles away to take on the number 6 team in the nation. 

During the send off a number of fans came out to celebrate the achievement. Super fans including Roscoe the Ram, a number of high ups in the university, and many more wished the team cheered for the team as they entered the bus.

Coach Brooks thanked everyone for coming out before loading the bus. During the speech he told the crowd that the team was going to go get some more trophies.

The Rams are 42-0 this season.
