Wall's Baylor Bound Tate Williams Earns Silver Medal at State Track Meet

 

AUSTIN, TX – The 2021 UIL State Track and Field Meet began Thursday morning at Mike A. Myers Stadium at the University of Texas and already Wall high school athlete Tate Williams has earned a silver medal. 

According to the UIL, on May 6, the results for the boys 3S Discuss Throw show that Williams threw for 172'7" just two feet short of the winning throw.

The winner, John Hanson, from SA Great Hearts Northern Oakes only threw three times to reach 174'6". Garrett Dixon from Ballinger finished in third place with a 164'5" throw.

Williams will be also competing in the shot put later this afternoon.
