Dallas Cowboys Sign QB to Monster Deal

DALLAS,TX – Dak Prescott bet on himself and won big time.

The Dallas Cowboys and quarterback Dak Prescott have agreed to a 4 year, $160M deal. It includes a no trade clause and a no tag provision.

Prescott (27) was well on his way to a career year last season until a gruesome leg injury against the New York Giants in Week 5 sidelined him for the rest of 2020.

Dak started as a rookie in place of Tony Romo who went down with a back injury against the Seahawks in a preseason game and didn’t flinch. He had, at the time, the best season for a rookie quarterback ever. He and Ezekiel Elliott led the Cowboys to a 13-3 season their rookie season.

Regardless of what people say, Dak Prescott got the going rate for NFL quarterbacks. When you have a franchise guy at the most important position, you keep them. There aren’t 32 starting caliber quarterbacks in the NFL.

Many teams in the NFL are a quarterback away from competing for the Super Bowl. The next contracts for quaterbacks like Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen will top Prescott’s new deal and so on.

Dak Prescott is also the only quarterback drafted in 2016 to remain on his original team or in the NFL altogether.
