Brock High School Hires New Head Football Coach

BROCK, TX – Brock ISD has hired a new high school football head coach.

Former Weatherford athletic director Billy Mathis has been named the next head football coach for the Brock Eagles.

Mathis takes over a Brock team that has made it to at least the third round of the playoffs since 2014.

Mathis took over at Weatherford in 2017 and rebuilt the program. He led the Kangaroos to three straight playoff appearances the past three seasons.

Former head coach Chad Worrell left Brock earlier this year to be the head football coach for the El Campo Ricebirds.

Brock shares the 3A-Division 1 with the Wall Hawks.
