Midland High School Has Hired New Head Football Coach

MIDLAND, TX- Midland High School has hired a new head football coach.

Thad Fortune was unanimously approved by the Midland ISD school board to become the next head coach of the Bulldogs.

Fortune has spent the last few seasons as Odessa Permian’s offensive coordinator.

In 2020 under Fortune, the Panthers offensive had 5 players on the First Team ALL-DISTRICT and also led the district in rushing yards as well.

The Permian Panthers won the last three 6A Region 1 District 2 Titles.

Tim Anuszkiewicz, the former Midland coach, was reassigned back in December.

Midland was 1-8 last season.
