No. 6 Ranked Blackwell Goes for a Walk in the Park

VERIBEST, TX -- The No. 6 Ranked Blackwell Hornets destroyed the Veribest Falcons Friday night.

The game started with the Falcons receiving the ball. They could not get anything going and was forced to punt.

The Hornets then took over the ball and was able to score first. QB Michael Lowry threw a short 3-yard-touchdown to Caleb Sirmons Jr. They led 8-0.

The Falcons then tried again to get on the board but were forced to a three and out. The Hornets started with the ball on their 11 yard line.

Rendon Scott had a huge 47 yard run that put the hornets in scoring position. Blackwell's running back Cameron Coldiron scored off a 15-yard run. This increased their lead to 16-0.

After another three and out by the Falcons, Coldiron pounded the ball in for his second touchdown. This ended the first quarter with the Hornets leading 24-0.

The Falcons started to move the ball and even got a first down. After the chains moved, QB Konner Barnes threw four incompletions and turned the ball over.

The disappointment on what looked like the a scoring drive by the Falcons hyped their defense and sacked Lowry which forced them to fail on a fourth down conversion.

After taking over the ball on their own 35-yard line, Barnes hooked up with Joshua Bolin for a touchdown. The celebration was cut short though after Blackwell's defense blocked the extra point.

After the kickoff, Lowry threw an 80-yard bomb to Devan Clower Jr. for another touchdown. The Hornets led 32-6 with five minutes left in the half.

Blackwell then kicked an onside and recovered it. Scott then found the endzone after a quick series to extend the lead 40-6.

At this point Blackwell saw the 45 point margin in their grasps and did whatever they could to reach it before half time. The Falcons fumbled the ball on that drive and capitalized with the Hornet's Center scoring a touchdown.

Blackwell then recovered another onside kick which set them up for the winning touchdown. The Blackwell Hornets won the game 52-6.
