SAN ANGELO, TX — Several local high schools will be putting more than just points on the board when they cross the goal line this month.
Central, Lake View, TLC Academy, and Grape Creek will all be a part of Touchdowns Against Cancer, a national program created to help fund cancer research.
Touchdowns Against Cancer has partnered with the Texas High School Coaches Association, MaxPreps, and Pledge It to help raise money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
The program runs through September, Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and teams across the state will compete against each other to see who can raise the most money during the four game stretch.
Fans and philanthropists alike can make a pledge and help the fight against cancer at https://touchdownsagainstcancer.com/
